Shortly after New Year’s Day 2022, I went on a little excursion to an area I had not yet been to. I drove through the city of Schwäbisch Hall. This city was different than I had imagined before and I walked a little through the old town. In the old town there are very many almost 500 year old houses to see.
In this video, I visit Schwäbisch Hall, a historic town in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Walking along the riverbanks gives a different view of the town, with reflections of the buildings in the water and a quieter rhythm compared to the busy market square.

The Hällisch-Fränkisches Museum offers insight into the town’s history, while the Kunsthalle Würth and other art spaces show its modern cultural life. This blend of history and contemporary culture makes the town not just a preserved monument but a living place with ongoing creativity.
The surrounding hills add to the experience. From viewpoints above the town, you can see the red roofs, church towers, and the river winding below. These perspectives highlight the town’s medieval charm in its natural setting.
