✨ Neustadt Hike | Discovering the Heart of the German Wine Route

Just before Christmas, a 16km tour took us into the Palatinate Forest to Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in Rhineland/Palatinate in 2021. Neustadt is quite an old town with a historic old town. We hiked through the nearby forest around a small mountain to the top and then back to the town.

Then there was a very steep ascent of about 50 degrees to the end of the hike on the Col de Champillon ridge at 2700m altitude. The visit of the ridge is rewarded with a view to different peaks of the Alps, among them the Mont Blanc.
