I had a somewhat long layover in Singapore on my flight back to Germany from Sydney. For this reason, I had booked a hotel for one night and had to go on the very next day. In the end, I only had about three hours in the late evening to walk around a bit. It was December 2022 and as always tropically warm in Singapore. So I walked a little along the beach and then back to my hotel.

A long layover doesn’t have to mean sitting in an airport lounge. Sometimes, it’s the perfect chance to step outside and discover a new place — even if it’s just for a few hours. 🌆 Singapore Layover Walk | Exploring the City Between Flights

On the way back from Sydney to Germany I had a stay of 9 hours in Singapore. I decided logically to visit the city. Several days before I had to fight with a variety of forms and regulations, because they kept changing due to the crisis and everything was not so clear. Finally, when entering the country, no one asked for anything other than the passport and I was in the country within 30 min after landing. There I took the train east and then walked through the city through some tropical parks to the beach and back.
